With most of our Dolby Atmos mixes we normally work from the original stereo mix stems which have all the compression, EQ and effects already applied. This makes it easier for us to try and match the sonic character of the Dolby Atmos track to your original stereo master. Providing all the separate multi-tracks can also be really helpful, should we need to find any detailed elements that can't be isolated in the stems.
It's important to let us know how immersive you'd like your track to sound. This means how much you'd like us to utilize the full effect of the surround speakers, and even go crazy with automating pans and lifts as the song progresses. From our experience many artists opt for a more conservative approach where the main music elements are coming from the Left and Right speakers. Then during certain points in the song structure, where hyped elements need to be emphasised, we take advantage of opening up the surround speakers for dramatic effect.
All our immersive mixes are cross-checked and referenced for Binaural compatibility, as this is the main listening environment your audience will be listening in. The final deliverable format for a Dolby Atmos mixes is an ADM MWAV. We will ensure all the correct criteria are met for succesfully uploading your songs to the DSPs.
